MirrorAre you looking for a way to make your new mirror to look aged? Well you have come to the right place. I have written extensively on the subject of decorative wall mirrors and my experience has helped thousands of website visitors. Take a few minutes to read through this brief but helpful article and you will be glad you did.

You can use a number of ways to convert the glass area of the frame to an aged mirror. If you are not using unframed mirrors you even have an option to convert the frame to a tray. {You Can do this even withThis can even be done with} some makeup mirror wall mount or whatever type

You can either use silver and gelatin or even an aluminum leaf. For a 300 square feet you could fork out something like $90 for most chemical kits but you can just use the latter on glass at a smaller fee than most| however, you can also just use the aluminum leaf because it is cheaper.

I must mention that that this does not always work effectively especially because of some difficulty removing the grey paint on the back of a new mirror and under that is silver and copper plating.

So another option is to use what is known as Antique Mirror Patina, which is a water based alkaline solution, a water based solution made from alkaline and makes it look old and tarnished even when its new. You can do it on your own at $80 or so i.e. about $2 per square feet.

These are not the only options you can choose when trying to turn your best decorative mirror or any type you may have into an antique. I do believe that what I have provided will help you get started.
